THE COMPANY

Docere Palace Studios, LLC was formed in September, 2004 when Docere Digital Studios, Inc. and Palace Production Center, Inc. teamed up to form a co-venture. The alliance of these two companies immediately made Docere Palace one of America’s leading producers of high quality, cross-platform non-fiction content for television broadcasters, DVDs, Internet and book publishers.

Docere Palace Studios seeks to push the creative envelop of non-fiction content especially when it comes to television production. We do not subscribe to the belief that imitation is the finest form of television. We work hard to find new and creative ways to produce television shows and series. But in so doing, we remain true to our roots – great story telling. We seek to bring in viewers (and hold them) with fabulous, captivating stories driven by fascinating characters.

We have always done that…and will always do that.

Docere Palace Studios combines its award-winning creative vision with the financial and technical resources required to take on large television series and specials and produce them in a cost-efficient and timely manner. The joint venture optimizes the complementary creative skills and technical resources of the two founding companies.

The company operates full-service television production studios with facilities in midtown Manhattan and South Norwalk, Conn.

Docere Digital Studios has been producing award-winning non-fiction programming since 1999, using its successful formula for producing, packaging and funding high level, high-concept productions. The word “Docere” (pronounced Doe-Kare-Ay) comes from the Latin word meaning “to teach.” It is the root word for “documentary.” Its roster of clients include: NBC, PBS, History Channel, A&E, National Geographic Channel, TLC, Discovery Health, Travel Channel, AMC. It has also produced cross-platform content for such media companies as: Time Warner, Disney, Forbes, Washington Post Company, Viacom, Wiley & Sons.
